Technology - CGEY or PA?

I have received 2 different offers; one for CGEY's technology division - ATS and one for the IS Implementation divison for PA Consulting. From a technology consulting perspective, which of the two seems better?I understand PA pay better but does their lack of Alliances (e.g. IBM, CISCO, MS, etc.) impact the solutions they can offer clients (and hence the technologies I would deal with). On the other hand CGEY seem heavily focused on large Gov. projects so I am unsure how attractive they would be. A final side issue is that I have heard the culture and work/life balance is more enjoyable at CGEY?Any feedback would be appreciated,Thanks.

Opt for PA

You'll be hard pressed to find a culture more relaxed and entrepreneurial than PA!!p.s. a lack of alliances as you put it, is actually viewed as a strength by our clients...think independence

Im surprised that capgemini offered you a job. The EY part of the name was dropped a while back. If you're going to be successful in consulting, you need to pay attention to the details.

Thanks for the feedback 'Opt for PA', it's just a shame some individuals in this forum, such as 'Another Anon', reply to threads simply to offend or critise people rather than actually provide some useful information.

Hi,PA tends not to offer clients solutions- which is why clients buy us. Our proposition is trusted, completely independent advisor- you tell us you issue, we'll suggest a solution based on what we think is best, completely unaffected by sales targets aligned with the latest infrastructure offering (in my client experience, IBM and Accenture in particular do have a tendency to recomend solutions that align with their commercial priorities rather than the client's). So if you want to do that advisor role (which can be a nightmare as you have to try and get the other consultancies to tell you what their comercial strategy is) we're the place to be. BUT we aren't as well known, we do have a culture you either love or don't... ISI incidentally is a fabulous practise- a lot of fun.BTW, POC is a practise at PA!)
