Hi,The company I am currently working for is relocating its activities and I am thinking of doing what I always wanted to do ie be a consultant in customer relation or change management. Problem: i do not know where to start from... I am French, 28, and I graduated in Nov 2003. I have a Masters degree in International Business from La Sorbonne University and Lille Universtity (France)and a 3 year university degree in Economics.I took some intensive course in European management Strategy at the Staffodshire University in 2002. I have 3/4 years experience in export/ customer service (I took 1 year off during my studies + summer jobs...) Would I have to apply for a graduate position? Which companies should I target? Is motivation as important as the academic results, the university you graduated from or the experience? Thanks in advance for any advice. Dalila

I think this is the third time you have submitted a post so I thought someone should try and answer your question. To be blunt, I am not clear that export and customer service experience would be of much interest to most consultancies so I think you would have to apply for a graduate position. In addition, I would have thought that most consultancies would look for graduates from grandes ecoles. But I may be wrong - I am not clear on how consultancies view French qualifications.

Hello - I agree with the post above. This could be a difficult move. You might want to try your luck with the big French owned firms, who generally have a few more french people knocking about. Cap Gemini and Atos might be a good starting point, but I am not sure you would qualify for their graduate schemes... Speak to a recruitment agency who specialise in CRM or Change, and see what they think. Good luck.

I think Accenture recruits graduates for CRM consulting sometimes. I think that is the best level to go in at as the export/customer service experience does not seem relevant to the two areas you mention, so it would be very difficult to even get an experienced hire interview.
