Hi thereSeveral years ago now I had a horrible experience with PA too, the man who interviewed me was also aggressive. They weren't so big at the time but I thought they had a chip on their shoulder and were patronising. Given I was in a dingy room and their offices weren't great I thought their attitude laughable. Subsequently whenever an agency has called and said 'how about PA' I always say an emphatic 'NO! NEVER!'. Because we don't interview alot I think these experiences leave a lasting impression and whilst it may be one person's bad day it can colour your opinion of a company for years to come if not forever..So take it as a lesson in how not to interview people when you come to do it and go for the company that left the best impression... I have found that this usually reflects in how you'll enjoy your job if you join.

I work for PA and really enjoy the people and the work. I am not sure which office you interviewed at several years ago, but the offices are very smart now. I agree that the quality of the interviewer has a big bearing on ones impression of the company and am surprised to hear that you had a poor quality interviewer at PA. In my experience at PA, I would say the type of person you have described is very much in the minority, and cannot think of anyone immedidately who would fit into this category. The average quality of a person in PA is very high relative to other consultancies I worked at, both in terms of how personable they are and also how talented they are as a consultant.
