Hi everybody!I just sent an e-mail to my boss at SBS, (Siemens Business Services) where I have been working as an SAP consultant for about 4-5 years, telling him that I will be moving on.The reason I sent this mail was that I just today accepted an offer from PA Consulting's ISI practice as an IT-management consultant. To me this is quite a big move since SAP I what I know (and know there is a big demand for skills in this area). What my future will be like at PA I don't know that much about...I can't say I am looking for advice at this point since I already took the decision... but it would be great if anyone could step up to reassure me that I made a wise choice,... that my opportunities with PA will be better,.. the financial reward in the long run wil be bigger etc. etc. Please! Anyone? How will I make it through the weekend............

Well, first off all, what was your salary in SBS?

My salary at PA will be 2000 SEK/month ( 150 pounds or so ) lower than my salary at SBS but then naturally I expect the bonus at PA to cover this and then some.SBS would limit me to pure SAP related work wheras PA can in theory mean any kind of IT system and any kind of clients.I hope/expect PA to offer better "exit" possibilities as they generally tend to work on a higher more strategic level that SBS.(With PA I will not be doing any coding).I also hope that PA can mean more money in the long run since i basically had hit the roof at Siemens. (An SAP consultant can't realy have a fixed salary higher than that).
