I'm about to graduate in the top third of my MBA class. I have a Master's in Health Administration, and change-management, P & L, business development, government, hospital, and proposal procurement experience. I have first-class references from industry leaders and profs. Colleagues and experienced consultants say I interview well. HOwever, I can't spark any interest in the UK. Is it because I'm on the other side of the Atlantic? Any thoughts are welcome...

That is almost certainly the problem. Our Recruitment team won't consider anyone who isn't already in the UK. Have you got your visa sorted out?

Firstly no company will consider you unless you have the right to work in the UK. Currently there are hundreds of qualified applicants out there so this is just an extra complication. So you need to get this first or find a job with an international company and transfer later.Secondly get yourself a London address (friend? friend of friend?). I live 150 miles from London but my CV quotes a London address. Some recruiters definitely have a preference for local candidates.

Thanks for your reply--good to know. I can get a visa at the drop of a dime.

Thank you. I can get a visa without a problem. Your tip for listing a London address is a great idea. Thanks

Mathew, you may want to search the forum for more information. There have been several threads in the past about Canadians wanting to work in the UK. There was plenty of information in there about what visa/immigration programs may be open to you and how Canadians can obtain work visas for the UK.
