Like many, I am currently searching for the elusive work/life balance. While I am keen to stay in a consulting-type position I would like to reduce my travel requirements before the wife files for divorce! As such I'm looking for an internal consultancy role within a blue chip. I understand that a lot of the blue chips run their own internal consulting teamsm, but a lot seem to staff these with new graduates and don't tend to recruit experienced hires. Any pointers on firms who look to recruit experienced consultants would be appreciated.

Not too sure about the internal consulting positions other than suggesting you speak to a few recruitment consultants. Posting your CV on this site will get the dialogue going.Also, have you tried an internal roll within a consulting firm? Resourcing, Marketing, Hr, KM etc? Just a thought.
