Currently in FM practice of IBM and I have had a call in relation to opportunities with KPMG. Any thoughts on whether it would be a good career move to go from IBM to KPMG.

KPMG, along with E&Y and PwC, are gearing up to make a major return to the consulting market. So there's a blank canvas and considerable growth opportunities at all these firms - with recruitment drives to match. A good time to get in there I would have thought...

I didn't think there were any FM people left there since all the PwCC people walked out over the last few years. I think the death knell for FM was the departure of Richard Sandwell and Vic Luck. KPMG are reasonably OK, but not great payers. E&Y are trying to double in size this year, and are rumoured to be paying whatever it takes to get people on board. Could be worth checking with them too
