Hmm..no one replied to this so maybe this is the answer. But just in case...Does anyone have any experience of payments consulting, especially merchant acquring strategies, from the perspective of either clients or consultancy firms? The type of company that does this is Edgar Dunn (worldwide), Mastercard Global Advisors (Worldwide) or Speer (US). The work is about helping large clients (especially clients who take credit card payments online) make the best choices so they can trade effectively around the world. Clearly this is a specialised niche, and looks at treasury issues, tax issues, technology issues etc. We are a group of 4 who have a lot of experience of doing this around the world, have consulted to dozens of large businesses, have worked for Visa, McKinsey and many banks and are kicking around an idea of hanging out a shingle and becoming a business, rather than just jobbing contractors. Does anyone have any experience of the market in this area, if they have ever known of a large corporate that has turned to external experts to help them make payments choices, or even banks that are looking to develop their merchant acquiring strategies? In particular we wonder if there is scope to work with an established consultancy that throws off work in this area? Do people see this as a trend in the consulting industry or not? Thanks very much for any help. Cardbloke
