Hello all, I met Kaiser Associates last week and have decided to share my thoughts to see if others have any different opinions. Pros- Very friendly people- Small teams, seemed very cohesive and effective- Quiet, seems low stress, not long hours ( they finish at 3 on Fridays in the summer time)- Excellent retention of clients- Flexible career path, was interviewed by a 25 year old senior manager- Quite easy interviews, compared to almost any other strategy house. Cons- Offices did not resemble those of a consultancy, rather those of industry - as far as quality of facilities- Not a 'sexy' atmosphere ( in the business arena ) - compared to other strategy botiques- Training programme was of questionable nature- No lunch ( or any kind of food ) was provided for a day that went from 10am to 2.15 pm. (which i thought was strange - and will undoubtfully give some insight into mentality.) any other thoughts welcome!

Few critiscisms about your cons:-do you not work in client offices anyway?-is the sexy image you expect not just a standard recruitment myth?-ok perhaps the trainig is questionable, but in general everyone's job is different, so how can you have a one size fits all training programme?-similarly Accenture were quite skimpy on recruitees expenses, but i understand this, since they have to field 10's of thousand of applicants per year: there must be some management of this expense.SO maybe on par your Pros outweight the cons! which is good

Thanks for the useful post, there's not much info on Kaiser on this board (or most other job forums for that matter!).I presume you were interviewed for the AC position. Did you get an idea about pay, bonus, amount of travel, etc.? "Friendly people" and "not long hours" just sounds too good to be true for a strategy house. If there is anyone else in here with recent experience from Kaiser, do speak up!

I dont know if i would go as far as calling them a 'strategy house.' They are nowhere on the likes of bain, mckinsey, bcg, lek, mercer, bah etc. there are only 25 people in the UK that base their work on repeated business (90%). An HR woman mentioned to me that only 2 people had modelling skills in the whole group. The walls arent painted, and a consultant looked at me strangely when i asked for a cup of coffee as if i had demanded beluga and moet. my advice: if its the last resort go. but if you have anything else, dont.

Does anyone know what's happened to Kaiser? The registration on the website http://www.kaiserassociates.com/ expired last week and it's not been renewed (no, I didn't try "kidnapping" it although I'm sure someone will eventually).Did they go bust? Was the poor state of the offices a forewarning? I haven't seen anything in the news or on Vault.
