Hi GuysI am working as a Business analyst in one of the Aussie banks in Sydney (through an Indian IT company) and have good exposure to compliance related projects as well as BI. I will be joining HEC Paris in Jan and getting interested in MC.Now I am aware of few things after going through the forums such as in Europe, only LBS & INSEAD are considered as top business schools(Don't want to get into discussion on that ..quite happy going to HEC ) and that any kind of IT experience is generally ridiculed at , I want to know if I do stand a realistic chance of breaking into MBB or maybe firms that would come next in the pecking order ?Also , how good is HEC considered by recruiters ? I can see it has enough alums in all top firms ,however none of them seems to be recruiting on campus. Is there anything I can do to bolster my chances and remove the stigma of IT (general consensus on web ..personally no problem with IT related work) .Looking for genuine advise which I can follow to try and getting into MC. No particular location preference. I will be 30+ by the time I finish off the MBA. Is that a disadvantage and assuming I do manage to make it to one of the firms, will I be slotted in tech based projects only because of my prior background ?
