Hi,I haven't done much research (apologies in advance). I'm a PhD candidate at a top US university (think MIT/ Harvard / Princeton). I'm interested in internship opportunities for the next summer outside the US, mainly in EU/Middle East/ Asia Pacific. I have a list of questions and will appreciate responses/insights: - I'm open to an internship in US in case I don't get any offers outside US. I already have experience in consulting. Am I more likely to find an internship role in the US than elsewhere?- Do top strategy consulting firms ( MBB) sponsor visa for interns? - When does the application/interview process start ? - I'm looking for an Associate level internship since I have prior work experience. My PhD program requires people with significant practical (not research) work experience. I'm not looking for a generalist role but a role in a specific industry. Are summer associate roles purely generalist? - I guess I will be competing with MBA students for the internship position. How do PhD's compare with MBA applicants?- Should I focus on MBB or do I need to cast a wider net (second tier strategy firms/boutiques)?I know this post might irk some. I have only recently started to look at options ( e.g. I have already looked at PhD2consulting website, trying to connect with alums in consulting). But any ideas on how to approach the application process will be much appreciated! Thanks'I'
