Hi I'm looking for some advice on a change of role from mid sized and Big 4 people and change consulting within Financial Services to a permanent industry role specialising in change management.I have spent most of my six years consulting in FS (regulators, banks, insurers) and previously worked in house at a large insurer for 5 years. I'm ready to move in to an industry-based role in change management, however am struggling to find any that pay reasonably well.I don't fancy contract work, but have a strong change management skill set that I would like to utilise within an industry that I know well. However there seem to be limited opportunities at the moment, most change roles are actually "project manager" focused in nature.I'm looking for advice on whether to go for a "project manager" type role and hope to change it in to something broader once I am in, or whether there are in fact loads of more people-focused change management roles around that I am somehow missing? I'm concerned that the job title "project manager" will limit my options in future should I ever want to return to consulting.I am also keen to understand the views of others on business (non-IT) project management and change management. All thoughts, advice and experiences welcome - thanks!
