I was just wondering who originated the names behind the KPMG Advisory job titles because they are quite unique?Advisor...Executive Advisor...Principal Advisor. They seem to be quite uniquely KPMG titles? Wonder why they deviated from industry norms?Hmm..

It's not chat. I think it is a perfectly valid question. Why would KPMG create titles that other companies, at first glance, might not be able to make sense of in terms of understanding the seniority of an individual?I don't see how that is chat. But it is something that is worth serious consideration.

KPMG uses various titles for people at different grades within the organisation:E: Analyst / Graduate Trainee D: Consultant / Assistant ManagerC: Manager / Executive AdvisorB: Senior Manager / Assistant Director / Principal AdvisorA: DirectorP and O: PartnerThere is not much uniformity in terms of which one is 'allocated' to an individual when moving between grades. Most likely, it's just a quirk that stems from a change in hierarchical structures.

A valid question, perhaps. A point worth serious consideration? Do me a favour!

If I wanted some serious consideration and contemplation, I'd be back at my desk working instead of on here. Don't get your knickers in a twist folks :)
