founded by ex McKinsey consultants and been around since the 90s - dont seem to have grown or shrunk in that time. Probably doing very well, but a lifestyle boutique I think.

I interned there for three months in 2015. I got the impression that the best years were behind this company. They had a big library of past projects, but nobody there had any knowledge of the projects because the people who sold and did them had left years ago. It was basically the owner of the company and about fifteen interns paid the minimum wage. Terrible atmosphere, everybody was just there to have a bit of experience on their resume and as soon as they could get a better offer, they would leave.

I concur with your assessment. It was a sweat shop.

Having interned at Candesic and even extended my stay from 6 to 12 months, I'm surprised by the above comments.I found the experience enriching and was engaged throughout the duration of the internship. A week after starting, we received a two day McKinsey-style training seminar by the managers and the partners. A month later, I was working on my own portion of a project. Six month later, I was attending seminars and conferences speaking about our work and making new contacts. That's exceptional for an internship.I've now returned to Candesic full time after working in PE and find the team just how I left it: knowledgeable, driven and entrepreneurial. And that's great because we are extremely taken by projects!Hope this helps give a more faithful view.
