Hi,First off, thanks all for the helpful info on this site.I have a few questions I was hoping could be answered. I have a level 7 Manager offer from Accenture (London), is this equivalent to the M1 level I have seen mentioned here?My start date is mid October, the internal recruiter mentioned this is due to a number of new joiners starting in September, is it normal for Accenture to push the start date out?How long does the internal on-boarding team usually take to complete checks, references etc and confirm the start date?Lastly, does anyone know what the current pipeline looks like for SAP, mobile, digital projects? I did see that Accenture won the West Midlands Police project.Cheers

Firstly, M1 is equivalent to a level 7 Manager. M = manager and 1 = number of years at that level. I'm assuming the start date will correlate with the project you're going to be working on. . In terms of on boarding? How long's a piece of string? If your Manager is going to push HR then it could be a few weeks, if not longer. I would guess that it will be completed by October if that's when your start date is. In terms of pipeline, I'm not going to answer that on a public forum.

Hi there,Accenture definitely correlate's start date with the project, but in addition to this, they have a specified amount of people they're able to onboard during their scheduled orientation days. So once those are filled, it's common that you have to wait for the next orientation date with your particular group, usually either every 2 weeks or once a month depending on the growth targets for the group.Congrats on your new role!

Thanks Mcguy, im looking forwarding to starting and wondering what project i'll be placed on.@superrocks1 and highlander, i don't have a confirmed start date yet. Tentative start date is based on the offer i signed. After checking with the on-boarding team a few times they are busy with my checks now. Apparently they have at least two start dates this month so they are quite busy.Is anyone going to the networking event next week?

hehe i can understand how the younger people might be a bit scared of the partners but they shouldn't be, what they need to remember is that the partners depend on the young people for the success of the firm and those young people will grow older and more experienced and are the future of the firm

That's still a while to go. From my experience they wont do your pre-employment checks for at least a month. Have you tried checking with your internal recruiter what the status is?You'll receive an email about a month before you start regarding the drinks/networking evening.@superrocks1 Ask for what you feel you are worth.

thanks TheGovernor. I checked with the onboarding team and they said we are in process of it. I definitely know they are not as none of my referee hasn't heard anything from them. So bit of a sad situation for me!(I have not got any invite yet but like you said may get next month)Have they confirmed your start date or do you know your referee have been approached yet?

For M1 the base at least £10-15K too optimistic.I'd say no chance as a M1 even if there is some sort of hot skills bonus.
agentsmith - I asked ACN my expectations = Level 7 M1 - 85K base + benefits (car allowance + bonus) - sounds right?
Kudos if you get anywhere near that. We certainly can't accuse you of going in low.Accenture also has a pretty decent share and pension schemes that you shouldn't ignore...plus other bits and bobs (50% of your gym membership paid up to £60 - so they pay £30/month)

@Superrocks; the suspense is killing us.I think you've ruled yourself out of a manager slot, and the likelihood of getting a SM role from a M interview is lower as the would generally have a more junior person interviewing. Probability of getting an offer or accepting their offer is around 0.20Verdict = emptied your gun too soon.

Phone needs to be applied for with manager approval and if you want anything more than a basic device someone needs to agree to take some cost on their charge code (i.e your project)
If you are a manager then does it still apply? What do you get as a manager (level 7) except challenging client/project/BAU logistics?
You can approve it yourself :) But you'll still need someone to pick up the tab if you want an iPhone or similar.Managers used to get lots of extra benefits until a couple of years back when the higher hotel limits, business class flights, etc were all moved to the senior manager grade. Now all you get is your own flat if you get an apartment out of town and entitlement to company bonus as an "extra" over the levels below. It used to be when you joined as a manager you were an "executive" and the company treated you as such but those days are long gone now.
