Hii..I was wondering if anybody has any experience applying to Mckinsey, as an APD candidate. The application website says that you can upload transcripts but are not needed.Do transcripts help candidates during the selection process?ThanksPaul

Good question - and it's good to see that we have people with disabilities applying for Consulting. Anti-social personality disorder is a crippling disease and McKinsey needs to understand that they have to diversify their candidate pool for future success...

Depending on the severity of the condition, he may even be eligible to start applying for an internship in a bank.

As yes the Ass-Burger. One of the less edifying menu items in McDonalds... "I'll have mine with extra-Ass..."

Smoozing or as we like to say schmoozing, and todays back stabbing all done. I even ticked them off on my to do list. Bosses schmoozed 2 backs stabbed 1 wrote myself a note saying 'buy new knife and lip balm'you may as well upload your transcripts as they will want to see them anyway, it will save you some time and uncertainty as they will satisfy themselves they are happy with the grades before inviting you to assessment centre.

Aww..thanks for the english lesson. I am an international student, so my english may not be at par, but I am pretty sure I can beat all of you up in MATH and bullshitting, single-handed...Regarding you list..I suggest you apply the 80/20 rule to decide which boss to schmooze and which person to backstab. Making lists is not the most effective way...Thanks for the advice, Mars. Will do.Another question, if I have a disability i.e. ADHD which was undiagnosed at that time and caused a lower GPA in undergrad, is it a good idea to put it in the Mckinsey application? I am at a target graduate school, ranked 3rd in my department.

The media has conditioned me to associate ADHD with a rotund, jobless mother with her equally big-boned, but otherwise perfectly normal child, screaming at a doctor saying something like "You gorta give 'im pills - heeez got speshal needz!!"......but no I would not mention it. Looks like an excuse and you will come across as a bit mental...

Just to confirm you've got sub-par grades, sub-par English by your own admission, and hardly appear to be a great people person, yet you think you'll break into McKinsey?Sounds like you're not just hoping they'll ignore the APD - sounds like you're relying on the 'diversity' card to do you a massive favour. Also small point - McKinsey is spelt with a capital K. It's just that you've spelt it wrong everywhere, not likely to go down well on an application form!

Better watch out boys, management consulting may have messed up your hormones..lolYou couldnt be further from the truth..

My instincts tell me that with your condition you will likely find the stress of working at McKinsey debilitating at the very least. But as you can 'beat all of us up in MATH and bullshitting" you should be fine - just be sure to use that exact phrase with the McKinsey Partner to emphasis your credentials.
You couldnt be further from the truth..
Erm, it was mostly things you said? You said your English is bad, and when it comes to McKinsey being half the package isn't going to cut it. You said you had questionable grades, and when it comes to McKinsey questionable grades aren't going to cut it. You wrote the name of your target employer wrong a half dozen times, and when it comes to anywhere that isn't going to cut it.The only bit I assumed was that you aren't a people person, which is an educated guess given this thread, but I may be wrong.Anyway, don't feel bad about it and by all means have a go, just don't be shocked if you don't get in because as mentioned the diversity card would have to do you a really big favor by the sounds of it. If it makes you feel better, I wouldn't stand even less of a chance of getting in.

Thanks for your suggestion. You guys seemed really funny..and I know sometimes meanings tend to get lost when written over text..but I am just joking around. Please dont take it personally..But I do appreciate the criticism..as harsh as it may be. I know I have some deficiencies in my resume, I think they are made up for with a lot of other stuff I have done in the past few years. I will post my resume as soon as I get it polished enough. It would be great if you guys could give me some feedback. While I am applying for McKinsey, that is not the only consulting company I am applying for. I am well aware of the competition to get into McKinsey (spelled with a capital K this time. I hope this makes somebody happy :))

See, improving already! :)Yea that's true, we've only heard you mention your downsides and not the positive things you've done, so I guess its unfair to jump to conclusions.
