Hello :) I am applying to several PhDs in France and I would like to get a PhD in Marine Science and then get a job in consulting. I really like Marine Science and have some nice papers published thus far but I am worried that people would take it as a soft option; a majority of people I know at McKisey has a PhD in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry etc. So, is a PhD topic relevant when applying for consulting firms? And will a PhD in marine biology hinder my chances on landing an offer at consulting firms? Thanks in advance! :)
