Dear Forum, I have recently completed a graduate programme at a major and prestigious UK engineering company currently working in a mid-level role as a project/lead engineer. I have decided that being an engineer and working in a company of that type is not for me at the moment. I am looking to move into operational improvement, strategy consulting within the manufacturing/engineering sector. I consult internally on such things at the moment.I recently had a job offer at Analyst level at a mid-sized, well known London-based firm but turned it down as I felt it was step backwards and was a substantial pay cut (not even taking into account extra costs due to location).Newton seem to fit the bill, but does anyone know of any other firms (of a reasonable size) to look into? Any consultants out there that have made a similar move?
