I am considering joining Capgemini in the US. I have both technical and industry experience that is valuable to them. I am considering joining the part of Cap that does customer software project management and delivery. Can anyone tell me what grade level I need to aim for to get $140K per year base salary? What the title of that grade is?Also, does 4 weeks vacation seem reasonable?I have 30 years of experience. Thanks for your advice on those questions and any other advice you would be willing to offer.I have searched "CapGemini" in the forum, and have not really found much that answers the questions I have. If my questions are repeat, could you perhaps direct me to threads that have the answers? All the best,Greg

$140 base ... gulp...Well the salaries have absolutely no correlation with the grades or titles. You may find a Senior Consultant at $50k as well as at $90k. For your kind of salary, Senior Manager might be the title offered. Vacation on offer is 3 weeks, if you are below Senior Manager and 5 weeks if you are Senior Manager or above

Would like to see them try that in the UK...

Yeah, it would do my head in working in the USA. While the charm of owning an 8 litre pickup truck and living on a ranch with 10,000 acres of wilderness around you is very appealing, or driving on roads through deserts and stopping off at quaint little gas stations so you can make a long distance call could be quite the adventure, the USA is rapidly becoming an urbanised pressure cooker. 50 years from now that place is going to be the last place on earth anyone would want to live. It's going to be like 10 million square kilometres of starbucks, urban parks and joggers. Yuck.
