Hi, I am a 22 yr old entry level Business Technology Analyst at Deloitte Consulting in the US. http://mycareer.deloitte.com/us/en/students/programsinternships/undergraduate/businesstechnologyanalystI am an ardent follower of Top Consultant and find most replies and advice here is very real and applicable, with minimum trolling. I am starting work in a month with D and wanted to know if you had any advice for me as a new person in this business. I love the opportunity for its versatility, extra curricular and I intend to to use this opportunity to get the GSAP for a full ride payment for an MBA at an Ivy League. I came from a no name school, which is rare for Deloitte...but I was able to cold email/network in.My first line was to identify myself as an American, as I have noticed this forum has mostly European (strong British presence) to it, which isnt bad, but has some principles applicable only in the UK. I am naive and I make plenty of stupid mistakes so I need some direction. If I had seen this place earlier, I would have asked on how to negotiate my salary. Now I think I was low balled into $70k with a very insignificant bonus.Thank you.

Wolf Team - $70K isn't a low ball - its about right for a new hire, and actually (by European standards) is pretty good actually. And having networked into D from a no name school as well, you are clearly neither naïve nor make stupid mistakes.Bushy - I think it's just over £42K in real moneyPres B - vac time is low by UK/Europ/Scotland standards at all levels. But they get a lot of public holidays - more than the UK by some margin.
