Recently I have been offered a Management Consulting Graduate position at a KPMG office that is non-London based, and I have a few questions about it.From my final interview, I learned that graduates are expected to pick a 'track' pretty quickly that details what industries and clients they'll be working with. The interviewer tried to push me in the direction of taking the financial services track and I was intrigued by the clients and the type of work but I was wondering if it would be such a great option outside of London. (I did my final interview in Canary Wharf, and my interviewer obviously worked a lot with financial services firms). Does anyone have any experiences or advice they could share regarding choosing a track? Also, I was told in the interview that the one thing I should work on is appearing more passionate (and from a Brit at that!). While I do get more personable the longer an interaction goes on I can see that in consulting first impressions are pretty important. How do I not come across as so detached without looking a bit crazed?
