HelloI am looking to apply to Deloitte and the only suitable role they have at the moment is Android Developer - Senior Consultant.I have 21 months experience and this has been mainly Android Dev (with some iOS and .NET). I also did a six month internship (iOS). The senior role states 3+ years Java experience and 2+ years Android. Is it too much of a stretch to apply for this role?A side note:: In the past 3 months I was offered a .NET Consultant role but turned it down. I hadn't a huge amount of .NET under my belt only a few choice technologies that aligned with them and answered all questions well.I have much more experience in Android than I do in .NET so I'm not sure. Senior seems like a tall order at this stage. How does Senior Consultant compare to Consultant with regards responsibilities, workload etc. Thanks in advance.

gti,As a lowly consultant myself, I'd say experience under your belt is a good marker when looking at grades, buf if you are in the ball park (i'd say you are), theres plenty of other factors that can tip you over.Saying that if you go for it and they aren't convinced you are there yet, it's more than likely they will offer you consultant.I work in finance so all this techy stuff is a little lost on me, but i'd say qualities like, pm experience, people management experience, sales(exposure of not the doing) would set a senior consultant apart from a consultant.Helpful?

Hi DtBunk,Thanks for that and very helpful.Yes, I think I may possible be in the ballpark regarding the tech experience.I don't have any experience in the other skills you mentioned so probably a bit to go yet.I think i'll apply for it with the aim of getting Consultant. I'd be happy with that to be honest.Thanks.

Yep I agree - the main difference between a C and an SC is the ability to manage people and having enough understanding to put together proposals/bids (i.e. sales).
