I'm currently considering an offer from KPMG ITA over one as a BA at a major bank (Both Sydney graduate roles)1. Has it evolved past it's "Audit only" reputation? I'm scared I would end up doing only risk and audit work rather than business architecture/ IT strategy or requirements gathering stuff.2. Is consulting experience worth it getting ahead in the IT world?

firstly, nothing wrong with risk and audit. risk is a growth area, especially around cyber-security risk. i think a lot of companies have problems with hackers and their computers these days so could be a good thing to get into.also yes consulting experience will help you get ahead in the IT world, if you work hard and do a good job then you maximise your chances of getting ahead generally!
