Hi everyone, the proposal to get a mini was passed so I'm very happy about that! One of the secretaries has worked out a sort of time-share rota type thing which looks good and fair and we've budgeted an amount for repairs/dents etc that are to be expected, so very pleased about that - just in time for the summer for everyone to use! The announcement was made at the staff meeting and it seems to have been well received so I'm very pleased about that! The next thing I'm hoping to do is to make parts of the office look a little less formal and to make it a happier working environment for everyone. Our small IT department seems to have quite a lot of little joke signs and things up on the wall in their office and there are quite a few simpsons characters so i think they must quite like the simpsons there. There is a small reception area outside their office so I'd like to get a large simpsons character statue thing that we could put out there, just to brighten the place up a bit and to provide a talking point. I was wondering if anybody knows where I could get a large (say 4 or 5 foot high) statue of the "capital city goofball" please? many thanks

Bushy we are all pleased that you are very pleased/happy. I can think of at least one office ive been to where they had a zebra striped, life sized cow in reception.

Fish tank - just make sure you train the receptionists to look after them, was a running joke at a previous client...

Hehe, a zebra striped cow in reception, now that really would be something to take note of!! I wonder what it was all about! Also I like the idea of the fish tank too, maybe we could get some piranhas and put them in the finance department (accounts receivable)!!
