I'm currently in the process of applying to several top-tier MBA programs with the hopes of starting a career in educational technology consulting, more specifically, technology integration/planning and strategy for secondary and higher ed.Although I have no consulting experience, I built educational research databases at a HYP research institute for a while, published several articles there, then took on a massive database automation project at another competitive school. When that project finished, I took a job teaching humanities at a private school. I hope that experience is transferable and attractive to potential employers. My problem now is that even though I've been promised that there are plenty of jobs in edtech consulting, none of the major firms (MBB, Accenture, Deloitte, etc.) really mention it on their sites. This is frustrating me as I'm trying to put together essays with convincing long and short-term goals (Who I want to work for? What I want to do?). Am I looking in the wrong places? What departments and do these people work for, and what exactly are they doing? Any advice you could provide would be helpful.

It's entirely possible that everyone else knows what you are talking about, but I haven't a clue!!1) Do you NEED an MBA to get this new job? 90% of MBA's provide poor financial returns...2) WHO tells you there are lots of jobs in EdTech? People with a vested interest...?3) What happens when you google "Ed Tech Jobs"?
