Hi All,I was just interviewed for a SAP consultant role by a Top 4 Consultancy firms. I was Dual certified in two SAP Modules (which means I read approx 4000 pages of SAP material). Further to this, I worked for free - for 1.5 years - with a sub contracting company and had a hands on exposire to implementing SAP solutions. I can safely say that I am good in two of the best selling SAP modules. Now, I was sidelined in the interview as I faced competition from HYDERABAD guys who shamelessly show FAKE EXPERIENCE of 4-5 years, dont know a sh*t about the SAP Systems, and who use CV's with fake names to get to the interviews and once they know the questions, reapply to the same positions and speak the mugged up answers. Unfortunatley, these guys are getting the jobs while people like me, who rally slogged their asses, are facing the heat. Should I also follow the 'Best-Getting-The-Job' practices ? Please dont give me Moralistic or Idealistic answers as I had previously been unemployed for 1 year and see that the wrong doers gets the jobs. Appreciate a realistic advice.A Frustrated 'Aspiring Consultant'

Hi Aspiring Consultant,I have a strong suspicion you too are an Indian (obviously not from Hyderabad, Andhra). Your post sounds more of an outburst towards candidates from a certain region of India, I think you should introspect and sit down with a fine comb to find out what exactly is going wrong with your own interviews, rather than wasting time on what others are doing. I am sure majority of the successful candidates go through on their merit, and if you have it in you, you should go through too.

Hi,I too have a strong suspicion that you are from Hyderabad. Yes I am from India and thankfully not from corrupt Hyderabad. You guys bring a bad name to indian credibility.Meanwhile, I just completed my 2 more certificates and joining IBM in India. But really feel sad that Hyderabadis are brinning a shame to the Indian credibility in the UK SAP Market.

Hi Aspiring Consultant,Just because I didn't agree with your Hyderabad bashing, you have branded me as someone from the same place. Speaks volumes about how judgmental you are. Also, how come you didn't have a job when you wrote your 1st post, and landed up with a job by the time you wrote the 4th post (on a sunday). Anyways, congratulations for a low paying slave job at IBM.(Slavery = working for free, which you have already done for 1.5 years) That is the best you can achieve looking at your attitude and poor communication skills. Rot on!

Hi Look Within,I dont want to be portrayed as a xenophobic or something like that. I already had a job offer from IBM when I gave my interview with Top 4 consulting firms in UK. It was only a matter of deciding whether I should leave everything I have in UK (pls read as wife having 70+ salary , brother working for 100+ salary, sister in law working as NHS doctor) ...in shorty leaving a joint family in UK, and starting my career in IBM india as a Consultant at 7 lakhs per annum. Not judjemental but it hurts when you see people with dubious backgrounds claiming your job. Do you justify that I was sidelined when people with Fake experience of 4-5 years were given preference ????? (only cos the end clients 'billed more' for 4-5 years ' Sr. Consultants')Come on, even I can provide fake salary certificates and work Exp but I chose not to .......and I am being penalised for the same.Your post actually shows that you support fake exp. for higher billing rates. But the problem is bigger than you and me. Just because the End Client wants a person with 5 years of work exp..... consultancy firms rope with fake guys from hyderabad with similar fake experiences and satisfy 'end client requirements'.But do you really think that these fake candidates can deliver ??????????????moreover, my thread was to get advice whether I should also become like hyderabad candidates and fake up experience. Believe me, I am more technically sound than they are.

I dont agree with working as slave as I worked for free..My idea is ' I worked for free because I was Passionate' to work in the choosen field. And I want to make this as my career.I have seen many people from Hyd who ... Complete their Engineering degree in Electrical or Chemical or Mechanical..followed by an UMM ..BEE..AAA (MBA) in Humar Resources (wtf) ..and then ending up as a Testing professsional in IT........ What a Focus you have guys .... It just shows your deep insecurities of getting a job....... helll no

Aspiring consultantWhat your posts demonstrate is not only a xenophobic attitude to fellow Indians, but it also a distinct arrogance that people from Hyderabad haven't earned their positions on merit. I would suspect that a interviewer worth their salt would be able to pick holes from someone who faked experience pretty quickly during a technical interview.Pipe down and suck it up. You're clearly not as good as you think you are. And before you come back with some wisecrack - I'm not from Hyderabad, I don't know anything about SAP, and I'm a consultant who earned their role through merit.

there's a reason it's not called Hyderagood, eh?we have the same problem here with those cursed ne'erdowells from Rutland, who have swarmed in their millions to dominate the global market for Banyan postal order processing module test facilitatorsAs Austin Power's father said, ' I can't stand people who are intolerant. And the Dutch'

Hello All,My intention behind this thread was not to flare tension or create a phobia about hyderabad candidates. My apologies if my thread creates that impression. The idea is 'How do people with genuine experience' compete with 'people with Fake experience' ? I think the recruiting companies can do a favour to genuine guys by asking more 'Real Time questions' to the candidates rather than just asking the 'Transaction Codes'.Also I advice that rigorous back ground verification is done with people showing experience from Hyd ... like getting the 'Income Tax Returns' and that too 'Filed in the same financial year' in which the candidate shows the experience. And also that potential recruits are asked for a scanned copy of their passport before they are being interviewed so that people dont use fake names to get to the interview.Any coments , Recruiters ???CheersAspiring Candidates

Fake Experience Certificate at just Rs. 10,000: Now Legal ???inShareEmail I was shell shocked to see this email I received a few days back.HIWe are providing Experience certificate for IT professionals (like Dot net,Java,DBA,Networking,Webdesigning,PHP,Mainframe,RUBY on Rails, etc) with life time verfication.Details are as follows:1) Offer letter/Appointment Letter2) Experience CUM Releving Letter3) Salary Slip4) Corporate ID5) Corporate Email IDCharges : 10,000/- RsDo Call us for more details – 011-4164****RegardsRajWhat ! I couldn’t believe my eyes on the first instant. Okay, I know it happens at quite a few places but I never thought that people would straightaway send mails along with their contact numbers ! Unless and until it’s legal how come can someone do that ? Are they not afraid of anyone ? The law, justice department, police ???Well, I didn’t want to know much, after all I am not a journalist or in police that I get to the roots of the case, but I want to inform my readers that all such practices are fake and will only land you in trouble sooner or later in your life/career. Please avoid getting those fake experience letters as in the end a lie remains a lie. All private companies now get the background check through outsourced people and that too without the knowledge of the employees. What’s more is that now even the Public-Sector companies have followed the same route and are firing people who have some discrepancy in their CV’s.Best is do some hard work and get some job through a truthful way rather than going for all those ways, even if you are jobless. It may do you some good in the short term but you will definitely be a loser in the long run. My genuine advice is “Please avoid these“.

I do understand your point and I have been through the same situation. It has affected me to such an extent that I have prejudice towards people now right and when they mention they are from Andhra Pradesh/Hyderabad. I work at CAT Electronics. Some random guy pings of said "senior position" asking me questions on basic tools we use which he is supposed to know as team lead. Not only that, I have also seen how these people work, they are totally clueless. If anyone claims about regionalism here, I can give you a list of those companies all with origin to hyderabad, at least 95% of them. I have been collecting details about these ppl for almost a year since I graduated.
