I remember a recent "day in the life" post from the abovementioned website, in which a Deloitte lady tells us of 7am office networking sessions & caffeine-based beverages, etc. While that was mainly annoying due to her terminology, I just saw another -almost more annoying- gem.http://www.consultingcase101.com/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-management-consultant-from-mckinsey-company/... "douche-pocalypse"The only thing this type of story acheives is for innocent by-standers to ask what the authors are trying to cover up through writing such BS. I've only read the first part, as it actually becomes reasonable enough. But look out for:- the sky is blue, trees are green, life is good- the quiet train that is tantamount to a tantric meditation session- the uplifting experience of walking through St.Pancras- the incredibly polite crowd of the metallic miracle that is the London TubeAs these stories are supposed to be "typical" I'll start respecting them when I see sth like:"Alarm goes off at 6:00 - I have to hit snooze three times before dragging myself out of bed at 06:30. Still tired cause I got to sleep at 1am. It's pissing rain outside so it's umbrella and raincoat (again) today. Nearly knock over 3 OAPs in St. Pancras as I'm running slightly late. Pack myself into the tube like a sardine - the guy to the left of me stinks - the girl to the right is giving me a dirty look because I'm squashing her ... but then, at least, I begin my day of working on issues of strategic importance with some of the smartest people in the business world (supposedly)"
