Thinking of applying to Booz through one of the ads on TC.Is there a good CV template online anywhere? Haven't done a CV since I joined ACN three years ago...

If nothing else, this thread answers why this forum never took off.

To be fair Gary, there are good CV templates all over the web. Easy to find via Google. There are also numerous threads on this forum on what consitutes a good cv, and there is a good search function on this page.

Gary,A post like yours shows why your career never took off. In all honesty, if you come on here, asking where you can find a CV template to apply to a strat house, you simply shouldn't be applying. End of.

Agree with Dodge. Spotted this question and wanted to be polite while I answered but in the end gave up. I shudder to think of the calibre of people at ACN. Resourcefulness is one of the primary traits of any aspiring consultant (any half-decent professional for that matter) & for someone to be this lazy and ask for a template and then try and shoot down the forum for not readily supplying one is sort of naive.Having articulated the harsh truth, Gary, why don't you try Word's built in templates? Some are surprisingly good. Amazon has good books on Interviews/CVs. And of course Googling may help. Don't forget to take Client names out!Best of luck.

"Google it"could be the response to most threads on this over-hyped, under-used forum.I've googled it and looked at the threads on here, but really, there was no harm in asking on here again - other than the harm done to some delicate souls who seem to decide who is and isn't worthy of a job based on an internet post.

Gary, leaving your hissy-fit "this forum is mean!!" attitude aside, have you actually thought through what you're asking for? A CV template can be one of 2 things really:1) A simple, blank template2) A good example of a CV, well structured, and optimised to have a chance at a top tier consultancyThe first one of these can easily be found by googling, so the answer is not flippant - google really is the right place. The second is something that someone, probably with help from friends and mentors, has put a serious amount of work into. This would be a CV that has been through applications, rejections, and lots of rework. I hope this clarifies why your question is not getting the response you were hoping for.
