With EY Advisory pay rises not too far off, what are best guesses for what %s (or adjustments to bandings) may be in the offing?

I hear it will be good for some and others will not be very happy. Given it is EY I expect the payrises will be the bare minimum.

Received my call in the last week. Actually pretty positive. Those that I know who were promoted seem to be particularly happy, with paygrades brought back into line with what they were previous to 2009/10.Those that were promoted last year have also had reasonable salary jumps to compensate for the poor salary increases last year.Anyone else got any views?

So what is considered 'reasonable' in consulting?what I mean is - what sort of percentage range would you consider a 'low', 'average' and 'high' pay rise?I'm just about to start working for a big 4 having come from industry where the average pay rise this year is 2% - even if you performed well. So I'm hoping the move to the big bad world of consulting will be a good move financially.

Very much depends on the firm. As you would expect, your performance and the firm's will be the biggest influence. 5-10% for good performers is the norm at my firm. Significantly more for superstars.
