the German edition of Financial Times (FTD) published an article yesterday, which speculates about a merger of Booz and ATK (or a takeover of ATK by Booz to be precise). According to FTD the CEOs Shumeet Banerji and Paul Laudicina have already agreed on the key points, but obviously the partners of both companies still have to agree.Can it work?

Hi there,my opinion is: yes.It won´t serve big savings in G&A and S&A, but on the sales side, they would be much more balanced around the globe which leads to a more stable environment for the new joint company.I wonder what might be a good name to aim for? "BoozKearney", "PA reloaded"?I think 1 brand will be killed anyway, won´t it?

I just love the way that people are so desperate to mention PA in as many threads as possible, regardless of the relevance.

When will people ever become tired of mentioning PA? I am simply sick and tired of this most boring issue! If you were fired by PA, why not accept your fate and move on, rather than irritating everybody.

If this were to happen...what would be the impact on consultants? A bit of extra cash, a cull or just business as usual?

Having had experience of that kind of working environment, I very much doubt the partners are going to turn around and say "Hey guys, guess what? We're merging with Booz/ATK. So, as a little gesture of goodwill, here's a couple of grand for each of you".I'd say it's more likely to involve all sorts of territorial battles, people working extra hard to "prove" themselves, extra workload and admin. I imagine the only people who will benefit much will be those at a senior/ownership level.....
