"non-profit organization" is such a US-centric term. At the very least, in the UK they are referred to as "not-for-profit organisations" of which there can be many types.main difference is size of the consulting jobs available.

-a well funded worldwide finance NGO -risk and treasury IT strategy, implementation, change mgt -same functional skills required as for an IB but softer style and ability to cope with a v different decision making approach & culture, also to provide more coaching/handholding. tenured senior clients reluctant to make decisions that brought personal exposure. decent scale but slim margins and constant pressure to increase scope for same fee.
