I wouldn't worry too much about it. I know plenty of people who've spent a year or less at an employer, and it hasn't prevented them from developing successful careers. I recruit people and I honestly wouldn't give a second thought to seeing something like this on their CV, especially if it was more than a couple of years ago.Obviously you don't want to make a habit of it, though, which means you need to make sure that the next position is right for you. One thing to bear in mind is that working for a boutique firm often exposes you to more variety and responsibility than being a small cog in a big machine, so you want to (a) make sure that you extract maximum career value from your current position, and (b) make sure that you're not moving to what is effectively a more junior position in terms of levels of responsibility.
