I had an offer for someone at Principal level in that practice, she got 88k + car + bens + bonus. She had a similar background albeit she was working in a bank but started in Consulting.

£88k would be at the bottom end of the Principal Grade - normally from late £80k's upto circa £115k base.

Base £80k to £99k, some principles with no career prospect can get £110-115k due to their tenure in the industry or special situation.Director grade average is £120k base + £20k shares incentives + ca£30 bonus. they usually hesitate to offer anything above £90k base unless your current base is near this figure.
