Come on young'un - what's wrong with getting yourself out there on the river, with a rowing boat, couple of oars, wind in your hair, picnic basket - Sony Walkman for the quiet moments...

Bert - having seen your recent posts you have clearly been led to believe by someone that you are very witty. Unfortunately I don't agree with them and would like to know if you intend ever posting anything that is helpful to the people who have taken the time to ask for advice/guidance?If not, it means I can not waste my time reading your posts.I am not trying to stop people lightening things up but as far as I can see you haven't actually contributed anything so far.

Hi Anon - great hear from you again - you do post a LOT.Clearly you are a man (or woman) in demand - with time pressures and deadlines. You need information at the touch of a button. You need actions, not words! A rowing machine advertisement clearly interests you, requests for scanners with auto-feeds pique your inquisition, replies to 9 year old posts get you clicking your mouse in anticipation! So - heaven forbid I should not expect - nor dare demand! - that you waste one nano second more of your precious time with reading my humble posts. I do not doubt you have pressing matters to hand! Building an orphanage in Uganda perhaps? Navigating the Amazon in naught but an inflatable dinghy? So - that said - I would not dare to ask you to read one more of my posts! You see - Anon my friend - the irony of this reply? You have given me some of your previous time to ask for advice / guidance "Bert" you say "should I honestly waste my time in reading your posts which do not offer any advice or guidance?" Wow - makes my head spin......

Bert - I understand where the other Anon is coming from. You do like the sound of your own voices (or whatever the written equivalent is).Your last post makes no sense and I can't see what bit of it is meant to be funny. if that is what you intended.

can't offer advice between those two, but as the owner of a Concept 2 for about ten years now, I'd say don't get hung up on the monitor at all, as you'll probably end up only using the basic indicators - just point the thing at a telly and off you go...

I assume there is no irony intended in copying the phrase "you do like the sound of your own voice" 5 times?

Guys - seriously - why not ignore Bert? Why make a point of telling him he is not funny? Why make a point of answering to his replies?Your answers are, to be honest, only contributing to prolonging Bert's messaging. So - my advice - shut up! Wise up! Ignore Bert! and answer the question. Not sure.... I have a Concept 2 Model E. It's great, good course charting, time trials, games etc. Could do a lot worse....
