I'm seeking latest views on CSC. How are they doing? Redundancies? Moral? Is now a good time to join as a Solution Architect. What's the paysacle for an SA? Thanks.

AnonThere is not enough information to answer your questions. Are you a trainee / graduate / experienced hire / chief exec?CSC in the UK has between 8 & 10 grades and these all have their own pay bands, some of which I know and some I don't.Do you know which directorate is looking to recruit you as an SA and what account you might be working on?

Without knowing your level of experience etc, I would guess an experienced SA would look for a salary between £50k to £80k.No redundancies in the UK, morale is pretty low but no worse than PA, BTGS, HP, IBM etc.SAs don't have their own payscale, so to that degree it's a joined up company. From what I understand, now is as good a time as any but no company particularly tells the truth about work in the pipeline, so who can tell. When I left, there was a ban on recruitment apart from for specific opportunities, so unless this has been lifted, I'd guess there must be a specific role available.Good luck.

Very slow. Don't even think of applying unless you have 3-6 months to spare.

Had a strange interview experience with them once. Very odd people I thought. Ran a mile afterwards.....

Avoid!! Hire and fire just as fast.I have been told that they have now put in place a different model, where they can only recruit when they have a requirement signed in blood by the client - but old habits die hard. They lack direction and strategy to grow business - only interested in dealing with current clients - so a lot depends on what comes through the door.Very much a body shop where your skills do not count, as all they want to do is fill a space. Can relate to the 'odd interview and odd people' as unfortunately that happened to me but I accepted the job offer. Hence ex CSC, I rest my case!
