I have a first class degree from oxford, am a rhode scholar and am a member of Mensa (98th percentile on IQ test).I have a number of academic and leadership awards and have a number of opportunities presented to me.My question is, am I too good for MBBB and if so where else should I seek employment given my caliber.

John, thank you for your very public interest in us. I am sorry to say that we would not be interested in you because you are way to far up your own a*s for us even . Blimey, I never thought I would have to reject a candidate for that reason. Anyway, back to running the world.

98th percentile isn't actually that high. Out of a normal class of high school students, including all those who leave without qualifications, you're the guy who comes 2nd or 3rd in the year. In fact it's an IQ of 130 which is 10 behind myself and I don't have the arrogance to put such a post on the forum. I suggest you send your CV to PA. That should be about right. If it is a wind up, please up the game, I have met too many people like the profile you put up to be impressed.

Good point vfv, although Mensa over here typically use the Cattell B scale to determine IQ. You have to be in the 98th percentile to join, so if you just scraped through (scoring 148 on Cattell B), that makes you one of the dumbest people in an organisation of over 100,000 people, (if you believe those tests that is).You don't need to be that bright to spell Rhodes correctly though... lazy trolling.

John please don't listen to Anon. We have a McD rejects retraining programme and are confident we can upskill you to be a key member of our team. Having read your initial post I can confidentally say you would be an easy fit with our stock control role, which requires a brain the size of a planet.

Guys, come on, lets play nice now. John was just asking for some advice, no need to get all nasty now.John, to answer your question, I wouldn't necessarily look right past MBBB. While you are very smart and incredibly talented, you would find that there are a few people in MBBB with your sort of credentials. I suggest you still apply and find if it is still right for you. But with your sort of background I would think that the skies would be the limit for you.

Okay its obvious that there are a lot of people here that are jealous of my talent and intelligence that they have to resort to making fun of this.Anyways, at least one person (als) had the courtesy of writing a proper response. But als, what I would like to know is why should I just "apply" and try to see if its right for me? Like as you say, I am talented, smart, skies the limit for me... convince me then that MBBB is right for me. I have a lot of opportunities in front of me so I want to make sure I make the right choice and will require more hard facts and data to make my decision.

John, there are a lot of talented and intelligent people on here. The difference between them and you is their lack of arrogance. The reason for a lot of the scepticism is that someone with academic awards would not make spelling and grammatical errors when trying to impress people. Also, a real know-it-all wouldn't have to ask if they were too good for MBBB.

Dear John W,Please edify us by answer the following:1) Which is correct - I brought a drink for £2 or I bought a drink for £2?2) Which is correct - I am pleased to make your acquaintance or I am pleased to make you're acquaintance?Given you calibre/caliber, this should be a breeze.

John, given your rather pants spelling I am assuming that you mean you are a 'roads' scholar. So just to be helpful, unlike all these others on here who have just mocked you, I have checked the Highways Agency's website and they are recruiting. Look here http://www.highways.gov.uk/jobs/careers.aspx and all the best with it.

I turned down 2 of the MBB for a job in industry. Truth is, they really dont pay enough to warrant the lifestyle. I earn 6 figures all in now and am 29, would have really had to work hard to do this in MBB as I would have gone in at MBA level.

Dear John,I'd say that without a top MBA you're not good enough for MBB.But why not joining a French consultancy? You're certainly arrogant enough to fit with the culture. You could easily become manager at Ineum or Eurogroup. Ok you would feel miserable migrating IT systems for tier-3 banks branches in the countryside. But once back in Paris you'd describe your job as "operational strategy" to impress your friends.Think about it

Assuming for a minute you are "for real", I'd suggest you not to join an MBBB, you will have a tough time adapting your ego to the work environment there, you will possibly get frustrated and bored quite fast.
