Hi all,I am planning to apply for Mckinsey BTO instead of mckinsey perse, since I hope my technology background will allow me to have a better chance of succeeding there....Am I right ? Is the BTO interview and threshold any lower at all ?Thanks

Thinking BTO - You need to be careful how you articulate things. Your post could be read as trying to find an easy way into McK. Whilst that might be true you should certainly not say it out loud.

thx mate, will keep that in mind....but would you know if after enetring Mckinsey as an associate, if i could switch to the BTO fairly easily...

I wouldn't say "fairly easily", but you could definitely state your staffing preferences, and if after one or two BTO studies you do ok, you could request to be affiliated to the BTO practice. Having a BTO partner on your side definitely helps.
