Do firms assign people who have non-mba degrees to entry levels (business analysts, associate, etc)? is it standardised?

If joiners don't have work experience (even if they have an MBA), they'll start at the Analyst level.Some firms will place advanced-degree (PhD) holders and anyone with less than 3 yrs experience (outside consulting) as second year/"senior" Analysts.Beyond that, entry is generally either through MBA hiring (into defined Associate/Senior Analyst positions), or as an experienced hire (could be at any level, depending on prior experience).
