Oliver Wyman, the global management consultancy, announced today the appointment of James Emmett as Senior Advisor. James will advise at the intersection of finance, technology, regulation, and law, with a particular focus on digital assets and blockchain platforms.
James Emmett, Senior Advisor, Oliver Wyman, said: “Oliver Wyman’s profound understanding of financial services and thought leadership on the impact of disruptive technology makes them a very natural partner for me to extend my own impact in this area.”
Ugur Koyluoglu, Global Head of Digital Assets, Oliver Wyman, added: “James’ experience as a practitioner in banking and in digital assets is rare in its combination. It will complement Oliver Wyman’s expertise in this dynamic and increasingly significant area of technology and financial services, enhancing our ability to support clients in designing and delivering their strategies.”
James is a non-Executive Board Director and Senior Advisor at Diem Networks LLC, the Swiss operating company of Diem (formerly Libra), where he previously served as Managing Director & CEO and led the operationalization of the payment network and the ground-breaking regulatory process for Diem with FINMA, the Swiss financial services regulator. This successfully reached the final stages of the licensing process prior to a strategic decision to migrate the operations to the United States.
