Out of interest what are peoples perspective on the quality of Proudfoot consulting and the type of work they do? I hadn't really heard of them until fairly recently and have noticed that on Wikipedia's Management Consultant page they have tried hard to throw their lot in with MBB as the leading founders of Management Consulting. So I just wondered what the forum thought...?

Well they were founded in 1946 so they've been around a while. But quality wise it's a high turnover company because they treat their consultants like cr*p and the PM's and PD's have to pull the project through. only join if you are desperate...for travel on a Sunday and enjoy lots of macho (verging on bullying IMHO) culture. There are few women, a dodgy bonus scheme (paid at the whim of management), and a blame culture for when senior management screws up!

Proudfoot were founded as a management consultancy in 1946 in the same way that Alan Stanford's bank was founded in the 1930's. More McKenzie than McKinsey in the prestige stakes. Sell.
