I work in a consulting outfit of a large SI firm. I make around £150K per annum as head of practice. I want to move to MBBB but I guess I will need to take a salary cut. Do you know the associate salary at MBBB? Is it possible to move to their next level if you dont come from one of the top strategy houses?

Why would you want to go from a partner position to a junior consultant position, for a third of the salary (if you're lucky)?

Don't do it... I have done it and regret it. Bain and BCG will hire you as Managers, if they choose to hire you. McK is likely to take you as an Associate at 70-80k and that is not worth it.
