Hi, Guys!At what level do people usually join PwC/KPMG/Deloitte/EY/Acc right after MBA? Assuming that prior MBA a person has 5 years of WE.I expect the answer in terms of Consultant/SC/Manager/SM.Regards

Let's assume that 5 years of WE are in corporate sales/marketing (high industry) and it's top MBA school.

At Deloitte, someone with that background would come in at the top of the Consultant grade (with a view to quick promotion) or at the bottom of the Senior Consultant grade (e.g. if they had additional experience in consulting through MBA internships).

Consultant? No way. I think even Manager could be possible.

At Deloitte, we would consider you for a Senior Consultant position if you demonstrated a very strong academic (top 30 MBA) and professional background (blue-chip plus prior consulting experience). Without this background, you would be considered for a Consultant position with a view to promotion to Senior Consultant after one year.Prior to Deloitte, I recruited at PwC and would describe the entry standards/career grade mapping as almost identical across the two firms.

Interesting. PWC and Deloitte seem quite strict. Is it because of such high requirements for manager/SM level or old fashioned company culture?Forget McKinsey where you can get to partner level in 7 years (Jeffrey Skilling did it in 5). At Deloitte you are a sr consultant after 7 years... maybe:)

At least that it is what the company claims, that you have the possibility to get to partner in 5-7 years from a graduate position. It does seem incredible, but I would appreciate it if anyone that has worked or is working there to shed some light on this.Thnx
