Would you guys say I should go into consulting?I want: serious intellectual challenges. Colleagues who're passably interesting people (neither autistic nerds nor sociopathic) and super-smart. Pretty high pressure, but 60 hour weeks rather than 90. To gain the sort of experience that opens up a wide range of options in the future. Low bullshit, low jargon, but rather genuine, original analysis. Assume I have the academics/internship/skills to be a pretty decent candidate - my concern is rather for cultural fit, ideally to avoid getting bitter & burnt out in a couple of years' time. Perhaps this is utopian, but...I'm thinking the top firms that aren't MBBB or Big 4 - London based. Would you say that's a decent plan? Other suggestions?
