I've applied to many of the Top 25 Consultancy Firms but havent heard back from them in a few weeks. Most of my applications I sent off 3-4 weeks ago and apart from an application confirmation, I have had no news. I did get one interview with BCG, which is next week. (Hoping it will go well, but I would like some back-up's). Have any of you waited this long? Most firms said on the confirmation email that they'll get back to you as soon as possible - so it can't be an automatic rejection if they don't reply to you. But what does 'as soon as possible' usually mean?

"As soon as possible" usually means "if/when we feel like it".

are you a fresher? I got the reply from BCG saying that they do not screen CVs before 7th of November. Guess you were more lucky then. Did you follow up on the applications?

I have a masters degree and applying to the entry-level position. I haven't followed up on the applications as of yet, as I wanted to give them a bit of time and not seem annoying. What about you? Have you heard back from any other firms?

dude, be patient. it's a tough market out there.. you're competing with thousands of other people for one position, so you better be a superstar
