I have been in my job for a year as a strategy consultant, and am doing quite well... my boss seems very pleased with me, and I have been bringing in a bit of business too (not huge amounts however... but it's not actually my job)It is a small company, based in London, and I have heard on the grapevine that there is not going to be much cash available for payrises this year. Our reviews are soon, and I am interested to see what people think would be reasonable to expect from someone in my position...? I would like 6-10k extra (about 20-30%). Does this seem reasonable? Any advice really would be appreciated

I think 20% rise seems fair. From your figures I'm assuming £30k starting. £36k for a second year strat analyst seems right.

In the current market if you get 5% you are doing well. In fact if you keep your job count your blessings

10% including the rise for any annual grade increment/promotion would be realistic for a top-performing Analyst
