Hi,I was wondering if anyone would have any thoughts as to how I might best move into consulting.I tried a round of applications 2 years ago, after graduating, but despite a couple of interviews (which admittedly I didn't perform well in), I was not made an offer and therefore decided to take a job in industry, which sounded like excellent experience. The result is that I've worked on some really exciting and varied projects, and am hoping to complete the final set CIMA exams next year. However, from a CV/employer's perspective, the company I am working for will not stand out as being particularly impressive.I enjoy where I work, however my aim really is to get into Consulting.Does anyone have any thoughts as to how I might best get there? Has anyone else moved into consulting on the back of project work/CIMA, especially after such a short (2yrs) period in industry.Grateful for any advice!

newbie, I would do some digging if I were you - it's a tricky climate at the moment. You will definitely have skills and experience that consultancies find useful. Just find the right consultancy for you - this may not necessarily be the top 4. Try smaller firms, maybe specialist firms (2 years there as an intermediate step into management consultancy, if that's what you want).I would also recommend getting your CV out there. Monster.co.uk are good. This website has many opportunities. There are others too. Don't get disillusioned if you don't have instant success. It's a tough environment, and many firms are looking for more experienced people. Keep trying.
