And you are involved in 'Test' what exactly do you think you can supply when faced with an ITT?Test it?And yes your one of the many low paid contractors that work for TCS, and are shot into some bolthole to confuse and create revenue. You need to get out of IT if you want to move ahead, markets work on skills and shortage, there is no shortage of Indian testers, and no shortage of TCS or TCS IT Employees.Did your mother not tell you to become a doctor?Mine did :(

thanks Taxman, when u are talking about skills and shortage , what kind of skills you have in mind? In IT also, u have skillsets that are difficult to find. PS:its better to be a IT Prof in India than a doctor :-))

ok, well i am not a tester, with my experience I can say these banks execute big projects where experience of testing methodology , strategy and ability to drive the testing team, dealing with multiple vendors is expected and equally an experience and expertise to take on a managerial role. Besides i have competencies in legacy systems and I have worked in quite a few projects in different roles in banking and insurance. Does this help with the ITT

Yes it does :)The more you understand about the business you are in, the better you can consult and offer advice. In your case you can take your knowledge of financial systems and use that to reply to an 'ITT' and thus state what you would aim to deliver, how long it would take and why what you are specifying meets the clients criteria.BTW in the UK an IT Prof gets £60-70'000 a doctor who works 35 hours a week gets £140'000 and is on extra for overtime, and that is a normal practice doctor. We import doctors from India as if you have a production line of them.....

thanks:-) i wud guess that less than .01 percent of the indian doctors(or doctors manufactured in india) can enter into UK. UK have introduced new laws this yr to stop that tooSo I guess i am more realistic as a IT Prof :-), but i wanted to be more specialized and go out of the "bolthole" as you rightly said
