I'm a former British expat from Dubai who has been educated in and worked in London & the UK. I've had prior work experience in Dubai and wish to return having consulted in the city. However I'm looking for contacts and information to begin a job search...I'd like to get opinions from Dubai-based consultants on: 1) How you recommend finding and applying for Dubai based consulting jobs (agents / referral etc.).2) Does previous work experience in Dubai / UAE make a difference to one's application?3) Do you need Arabic?4) Who is the ideal candidate for Dubai-based consulting (skill / industry / education / yrs)?4) Are there any Dubai-based consultants who would be willing to meet in Dubai to discuss the consulting job-market? They are always in need of folks so, get you resume in somehow and if the background fits, they will talk to you.2) Does previous work experience in Dubai / UAE make a difference to one's application?Not really required, but it shows your genuine interest in the area, so it is good.3) Do you need Arabic?No.4) Who is the ideal candidate for Dubai-based consulting (skill / industry / education / yrs)?At what level? 1) Loads of agents, very few do anything for you. Apply direct, all the big names are here.2) Increasingly yes, most companies want you to have an understanding of the Middle East and a desire to work here3) Again, increasingly you need Arabic. Most companies have their fill of English speakers, people who can talk to their clients outside Dubai (which is where you'll work 80% of the time) is what they want4) 6+ years, MBA etc. They can get the junior consultants from anywhere.

Could you advice on what would be the avg compensation for the different levels of consulting in the middle east?
