Spot on cs97mmr2. I think this forum over the months and years has really gone downhill. the only reason people still use this forum is due to poor alternatives. Some regular posters here can be likened to bullies and really take sarcasm to the absolute limit.Unless something is done about the quality of responses in this forum, more and more people will simply lack the will to post anything on here for fear of the constant belligerence.

One way to breathe life back into this forum is for a formal split between the MC & IT sides - i.e. give one of them a new and unique website address - preferably MC so we can start afreshThis would reduce the antagonism and lead to all round more positive debate, as opposed to general drivel and racial slurs in the name of being a witOtherwise this forum will slip further downhill (either that or MCs will stop posting which I suspect what the ITs want)

Soon well have 'How to pass exam easy' and exampass.com here too, any chance of spending £10 to split the forums?

With all due respect, I just don't think the argument about splitting MC and Technology stacks up. You want proof: take a look at Mckinsey & Co. services and the tell me what the first one on the list states. The distinction between Business and Technology is so blurred now that it is clearly in every MCs interest to appreciate both aspects.Fair point that maybe posts re IT Build (Dev, Testing, Deployment...) might be a bit out of scope for most of the aspiring MCs here. But let's not kid ourselves that MC is all blue sky strategy. It is after all about delivering tangible business benefit.Sorry a bit of a rant but I mean well for the forum.

Most MCs (probably even ZB!) do appreciate the link between business and technology, but that does not mean that we need to sift through their irrelevant comments on this forum before finding the roughly 1 in 10 post which is interesting,Split the forum and the MCs can look in on the IT one occassionally to see if there is anything of value to them

To the posters above; are you seeing something I don't see ? How many IT posts are there in comparison with pure MC posts ? Don't you think the problem is a bit more diverse ? Only 1 out of 10 posts (estimate) is purely IT related, and thus perhaps less, or not, interesting for MC's. About 1 out of 10 posts is a complete bullshit post (e.g. I am the Highest Paid 24 Old Twat). Something like 2 out of 10 posts is a bit on a more personal level (clothes, affaires, etc). Generic questions cover about 1 out of 10 (withdrawing job offer), etc, etc.It would not make sense to make a split between MC vs. IT because both forums would still have bullshit posts, personal threads, etc, etc.Looking at the earlier replies I am quite convinced a noticable decrease in quality is not due to just non-MC's but also fellow MC's posting half baked solutions and rants.A proper solution would be to introduce a forum with the possibility to have several discussion subjects (each with their own threads). Example: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/index.phpps. I don't mind the mix of diverse subjects and postings, it hardly takes any time/energy to only read the interesting threads (with proper subject). It's part of my job to ignore certain information, that is easily done while reading such a short and structured source.

Indeed, but anyone in IT at a higher level (Customer facing) as opposed to installing WebSphere would probably use the IT Consultant threads. However if the forum is flodded with whats this thread doing here, it will soon die a death, and all you will be left with are the usuall cries for help from those who do IT as a job, and not as a profession, there is a difference.
