Hi all,I work for a strategy consultancy and have about 18 months experience. I'm looking to move to London to do the same kind of strategy work I am doing here (pure corporate strategy and some CDD) so......who would you recommend as a good strategy consultancy that does a significant amount of pure corporate strategy work (i.e. not operational, IT or HR) and won't rinse you on the hours.I'm familiar with the bigger ones, but any names of good boutique / niche companies would be appreciated.

I will avoid trotting out all the names you're likely to have come across already - and perhaps focus on some of the smaller (but high calibre) firms that you may not have come across. I'd take a look at the following (and apologies to those firms I'm inevitably going to forget to mention, this list is just a starting point - so do add further details to this thread!)Cairneagle - a strategy and venturing company whose leadership are ex-LEK, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, etc.CairnforthCandesic - put together by former McKinsey consultants so has a proper strategy consulting pedigree.Credo - "Credo is a Strategy Consulting firm with a reputation as an agile and highly effective alternative to the traditional consultancies." Edengene - a strategy consultancy that works with large organisations to drive growth.... hope this helps kick-off your searchTony RestellTop-Consultant.com

Great,Your English will come on in leaps and bounds when you realise that you cannot simply transpose German syntax directly into your Enlglish sentences. Although at least you have recognised the fact that we do not adhere to the "chuck all the verbs in at the very end" school.

Thanks for the advice (I posted the original message)Are there any other consultanices that fly a bit under the radar that people know? I am looking for consultancies that do the kind of work practised at somewhere like OC&C (who I have already applied to). Thanks again,

@anon:mate, you can take this as a one-off, because I don´t have to pimp my ego with faulty comments on vanities like you do!Not here - not in consulting life.
